School & Community Partnership Grants for Excellence February 20, 2006

Purpose:
To promote team projects involving parents and the school community in a school-wide effort to promote excellence in education.
Guidelines:
Applications may be submitted by a parent, teacher, or administrator and must involve at least one parent, teacher and administrator as a member of the School and Community Team. Each team member listed on the application will be responsible for completing a post-evaluation survey of the project if the grant is awarded.
Priority will be given to projects that:
Recruit and train parents to be more involved in their child's education
Foster development/enhancement of parents, teachers and administrators working in the school community as a team
A selection committee will review each application and award grants based on the above criteria. Funds will not be awarded for completion of existing projects, or if projects are not sustainable. Under the terms of this grant, applicants must disclose other funding secured or requested.
Grants amounts may be requested up to $1,000. Projects must be implemented and completed by the end of the 2005-2006 school year. Applications must be typed and double spaced with a maximum length of 3 pages.
